The reading list
Trials and reviews
The weight studies started the conversation. The cardiovascular, kidney and symptom outcomes gave me more reasons to stay with it.
Weight and duration
STEP 1 supplies the weight comparison at 68 weeks. STEP 5 extends the weight-management question to 104 weeks. The weight card is my starting place for the question of duration.
Appetite and safety
The rodent neural-pathway study, mechanistic review and alcohol-use trial approach appetite and consumption from different directions. The semaglutide safety review and SUSTAIN-6 anchor the tolerability discussion.
Clinical events and symptoms
SELECT, FLOW and STEP-HFpEF address cardiovascular events, kidney-disease events, and heart-failure symptoms and limitations in their respective populations. The health card is where those findings get room to develop.
